Rishub Jain

Rishub Jain is an AI researcher and lab leader whose work spans conversational agents, protein structure, multimodal models and scalable oversight. His early work at Disney Research Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon includes an embodied social-chat agent and a 2018 RoboCup SSL project. At Google DeepMind, he coauthored AlphaFold and Gemini research and an essay on using language models to support democratic deliberation. In August 2026, he left DeepMind with Josh Jacob to start Sampura Research, a nonprofit developing human-AI complementarity for scalable oversight; as of October 2026, he is its CEO.
