Angeliki Lazaridou
Angeliki Lazaridou's research connects emergent communication between learning agents with the evaluation of Gemini models. In 2015 she co-wrote a NAACL paper with Nghia The Pham and Marco Baroni on a multimodal skip-gram model, and in 2020 she co-wrote an ACL paper on combining multi-agent communication with natural language learning. She was a staff research scientist at DeepMind in 2022, and she earned a PhD in brain and cognitive sciences at the University of Trento. In 2023 she was listed as Co-Lead for Eval on the Gemini 1.0 report, and the Gemini 1.5 report of 2024 named her among the people who oversaw its preparation. Her most recent listed work is the Gemini 2.5 report, where she is named among the contributors.
