Pong Chi Yuen

Pong Chi Yuen is a computer scientist whose work spans visual recognition, biometrics, and AI for biomedicine. He earned degrees in electronic engineering in Hong Kong, joined Hong Kong Baptist University in 1993, and later led its Department of Computer Science. His work on information fusion for visual recognition earned him an IAPR Fellowship in 2018. He directed the Croucher Foundation's AI for Biomedicine institute in 2025 and coauthored a June 2026 paper on medical image generation. He is a Chair Professor in HKBU's Department of Computer Science.
