Changsheng Xu
Also known as 徐常胜
Changsheng Xu researches multimedia analysis and computer vision, with work on AI methods that help analyze and retrieve video. He worked in Singapore before joining the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the China-Singapore Institute of Digital Media in 2008. His research ranges from sports-video annotation and personalized retrieval to uncertainty-aware learning for temporal action localization. He is an ACM Distinguished Scientist and an IEEE and IAPR Fellow; as of October 2026, he is a research professor at the Institute of Automation.
