Aditya Khosla

Aditya Khosla is a computer-vision researcher and AI founder whose work spans human visual memory, pathology, and insurance. He studied at Caltech and Stanford and earned a computer science PhD at MIT. His research produced algorithms that change face memorability, predict which images people remember, and interpret deep neural networks. He co-founded PathAI in 2016 to apply machine learning to pathology. As of October 2026, he is co-founder and CEO of Farsyt, which is building an AI-native brokerage to automate how insurance is bought, sold, and operated.

Timeline

  1. 2013

    Changing face memorability

In 2013, he and his coauthors develop an algorithm that alters face photographs to make people more or less memorable while preserving their identity, age, and gender.

  2. 2015

    Image memorability models

In 2015, he coauthors Understanding and Predicting Image Memorability at a Large Scale. MIT researchers introduce MemNet, a deep-learning algorithm that predicts how memorable images are almost as accurately as people, and publish LaMem, a dataset of 60,000 images annotated for popularity and emotional impact.

  3. 2016

    Co-founding PathAI

He co-founds PathAI in 2016 and serves as its chief technology officer. The company combines machine learning with anatomic and molecular pathology to create faster, lower-cost diagnostics.

  4. 2017

    Network Dissection

His education includes a BS in computer science, electrical engineering, and economics at Caltech and an MS in computer science at Stanford. He earns a computer science PhD at MIT. In 2017, he coauthors Network Dissection, a method for measuring how individual units in convolutional neural networks align with visual concepts.

  5. June 2022

    Joining Iterative Scopes

In June 2022, he joins Iterative Scopes as chief technology officer and a board member. He leads its machine-learning, product management, and software engineering teams for AI-based precision medicine in gastroenterology.

  6. As of October 2026

    Farsyt's AI-native brokerage

As of October 2026, he is co-founder and CEO of Farsyt. The company is building an AI-native insurtech business that starts with a brokerage and aims to automate how insurance is bought, sold, and operated.
