Marco Ferretti

Marco Ferretti is a University of Pavia researcher whose work spans parallel image processing, pattern recognition and bioinformatics. The Pavia project applies pattern recognition and the Hough Transform to protein secondary structures with MP and MPI parallelism; in 2015, the team publishes MPI-CMS, a hybrid parallel approach to geometrical motif search in proteins.

    In 2019, he coauthors an article with Luigi Santangelo and Mirto Musci on cloud-based scheduling for protein secondary-structure analysis. CINI names him vice president in its 2019 announcement of Ernesto Damiani as president.
