Paolo Ettore Gamba

Paolo Ettore Gamba is an engineer whose research covers urban remote sensing and data fusion. The International Association for Pattern Recognition named him a fellow in 2020, and the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association followed with a fellowship in 2022. He earned a Laurea in electronic engineering at the University of Pavia in 1989 and a Ph.D. there in 1993. He chaired the data fusion committee of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society from October 2005 to May 2009, and he was its president from 2019 to 2020. As of October 2026, he holds a full professorship in telecommunications and remote sensing at the University of Pavia.
