Diego Chicharro
Also known as Diego Chicharro Gordo
Diego Chicharro is a number theorist whose work helps evaluate AI's advanced mathematical reasoning. Before joining the London School of Geometry and Number Theory in 2021, he studied for a master's degree at the universities of Padua and Bordeaux and defended a thesis on the Bombieri-Stepanov approach to the Riemann Hypothesis. In 2022, he presented a seminar on schemes at Imperial College London. He co-authored FrontierMath in 2024, a benchmark for advanced mathematical reasoning in AI, and contributed its Tier 2 problem on continuous extensions over prime fields. As of October 2026, he is a number theory student at King's College London through the LSGNT.
