Tamay Besiroglu
Tamay Besiroglu is an AI researcher and company builder whose work runs from AI forecasting to the full automation of the economy. He studied economics at Cambridge and completed an MPhil there in 2020. In 2022 he co-founded Epoch AI, a new research organization that works to support AI strategy and improve forecasts. He is also a co-author of FrontierMath, a benchmark for advanced mathematical reasoning in AI, which was submitted to arXiv in November 2024. In April 2025 he launched Mechanize, and as of October 2026 he is a research scientist at Google DeepMind.
