Bogdan Grechuk
Bogdan Grechuk is a mathematician whose AI research studies error correction and advanced mathematical reasoning. He won an International Mathematical Olympiad gold medal in 1997 and a silver medal in 1998, and competed for Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 2002. His work includes mathematical risk research, a 2021 book on recent mathematics, and FrontierMath, a benchmark he co-authored to evaluate AI reasoning. As of October 2026, he is an associate professor at the University of Leicester and works with Surge AI on mathematical problems that challenge current models.
