Chen Chen
Also known as Chen (Cherise) Chen
Chen Chen is a computer vision researcher who develops AI for medical imaging. She earned an MSc in Advanced Computing in 2016 and a PhD in 2022 at Imperial College London, where she worked as a research associate from 2022. Her papers introduced AdvChain for MRI segmentation and a causality-inspired method to help segmentation models generalize to unseen domains. She joined Oxford's BioMedIA group in 2023, became an ELLIS Scholar in 2024, and coauthored CLAIM, which won the 2025 AIiH Best Paper Award. She is a Lecturer in Computer Vision at the University of Sheffield, a role she began in 2023.
