Sally Eaves

Sally Eaves is a chief technology officer and global strategy advisor whose work centres on AI's role in digital transformation, business innovation and sustainability. She began in telecoms and systems consulting at Orange Business UK in 2004, earned an MSc at Sheffield Hallam University in 2012, and held a research scholarship at Aston Business School from 2014 to 2016. She founded Sally Eaves Consultancy in 2016, joined Effect.AI as a strategic advisor in 2018, and received the Frontier Technology and Social Impact award at the United Nations in 2018. In 2023 she hosted generative-AI conversations with Dell executives, and Edelman named her to its 2025 list of AI creators. As of October 2026, she is Emergent Technology CTO and Global Strategy Advisor and leads Aspirational Futures.

  1. 2004–2011

    Telecoms and consulting roles

    She starts as a Senior Application Support Analyst at Orange Business UK in 2004, handling technical support for business intelligence systems. In 2009 she becomes Payments, Credit Risk and Fraud Change Manager at Everything Everywhere, and in 2011 a Senior Change Management Consultant at T-Systems.

  2. 2012–2016

    MSc and Aston research scholarship

    She earns a Master of Science in Information Technology and Management with Distinction at Sheffield Hallam University in 2012. From 2014 to 2016 she holds a Research Scholarship at Aston Business School, working on online media, thought leadership and knowledge sharing, and in 2016 she completes a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education at Aston University.

  3. 2016–2018

    Consultancy, Shivom and Effect.AI

    From 2016 she runs Sally Eaves Consultancy, advising on blockchain, artificial intelligence and IoT, and co-founds Project Shivom, a genomics and precision healthcare platform that integrates blockchain and AI. In 2018 she joins Effect.AI as a Strategic Advisor, focusing on building decentralised AI networks.

  4. 2018–2019

    A United Nations award

    In 2018 she is an inaugural recipient of the Frontier Technology and Social Impact award, presented at the United Nations. In September 2019 she speaks on the future of Blockchain technology at the United Nations Assembly Opening Day.

  5. January 2022

    IoT security and Aspirational Futures

    In January 2022 she publishes "Changing the IoT Security Narrative" on the PSA Certified blog, as Senior Policy Advisor for the Global Foundation of Cyber Studies & Research and CEO of Aspirational Futures, which enhances inclusion in education and technology.

  6. 2023–2024

    Generative AI talks with Dell

    In September 2023 she hosts two Dell conversations on generative AI: a Tomorrow's Tech Today podcast with Karen Plotkin, Dell's SVP of client strategy, on the future of work, and a video with John Roese, Dell's global CTO, on the human and AI partnership. Her weekly podcast covers AI, machine learning, cybersecurity and robotics, and in 2024 it carries an episode on opportunities in AI and generative AI with Elliot Young, CTO of Dell Technologies EMEA.

  7. January 2025

    Edelman's AI creators list

    Edelman publishes its "AI Creators You Need to Know" list of 50 creators in January 2025, and she is among them. The entry describes her as an advocate for the ethical use of AI, blockchain and 5G whose focus is AI's role in digital transformation, business innovation and sustainability.

    Emergent Technology CTO

    She is an Emergent Technology CTO and Global Strategy Advisor, and the founder and CEO of Aspirational Futures, which builds interdisciplinary skills in emerging tech for young people and underrepresented groups. She also serves as Chair of Cyber Trust and Senior Policy Advisor for the Global Foundation of Cyber Studies and Research.
