Sebastian Möller

Sebastian Möller is a professor at TU Berlin and heads the Speech and Language Technology department at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). His research centers on speech technology, and in 2021 he co-authored NISQA, a deep model for multidimensional speech quality prediction. From 1994 to 2005 he worked at Ruhr University Bochum, where he earned a doctorate in 1999, and from 2005 to 2015 he worked at Telekom Innovation Laboratories. At TU Berlin he was Vice Dean for Research from 2015 to 2017 and Dean from 2017 to 2019, and in 2017 he took charge of DFKI's Speech and Language Technology research area. He served as president of ISCA from 2021 to 2023, and in 2024 the association listed him among its Fellows for sustained contributions to the evaluation of speech transmission, processing, and speech technology.
