Bing Qin

Also known as Qin Bing

Bing Qin is a professor at Harbin Institute of Technology whose AI research spans sentiment analysis and language models. She earned degrees in electrical engineering and computer science at HIT and advanced through assistant, lecturer, associate professor and professor roles. Her work includes a 2014 paper on sentiment-specific Twitter word embeddings, the 2020 CodeBERT model and surveys on hallucination, chain-of-thought reasoning and multimodal sentiment from 2023 to 2024. In 2025, she received a first-class Ministry of Education research-achievement award; as of October 2026, she directs HIT's Social Computing and Interactive Robotics Center.
