Guan Gui
Guan Gui is a wireless communications researcher whose work applies deep learning to massive MIMO and intelligent signal recognition. He earned an engineering Ph.D. in information and communication from UESTC in 2012 and worked as a research assistant and postdoctoral fellow at Tohoku University from 2009 to 2014. He served as an assistant professor at Akita from 2014 to 2015, then joined Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications as a professor in 2015. In 2019, he coauthored a deep-learning method for millimeter-wave hybrid precoding, and he shared the 2021 IEEE Communications Society Heinrich Hertz Award with Hikmet Sari and Ezio Biglieri for a fairness paper on non-orthogonal multiple access. As of October 2026, he serves as editor-in-chief of KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems and as an IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Lecturer; he is a professor and doctoral supervisor at NJUPT.
