Researcher

Abbas Khosravi

Abbas Khosravi is a Deakin University researcher whose AI work spans uncertainty in medical data and deep learning, wearable assistive devices, and imitation learning. He studied electrical engineering at Sharif University of Technology and Amirkabir University of Technology, then completed a Deakin PhD in information technology in 2010. His work includes reviews of machine-learning uncertainty, neural-network models for ankle-based activity recognition, and research on imitation learning and uncertainty-aware skin-cancer classification. As of October 2026, he is a professor at Deakin's Institute for Intelligent Systems Research and Innovation.
