Visruth Premraj is a computer vision researcher whose work connects image understanding with language and interactive media. He earned an MS at Stony Brook University in 2010 and coauthored iWalk, a tool for interacting with geo-located data through movement and gesture. His Baby Talk system generated image descriptions from text statistics and computer-vision recognition algorithms; its paper appeared at CVPR in 2011 and in IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence in 2013. It won CVPR's Longuet-Higgins Prize in 2021. As of October 2026, he is a Research and Development Manager at Epic.
