Mohamed Abdel‐Basset
Also known as Mohamed Abdel-Basset, Mohamed Abdel-Baset
Mohamed Abdel-Basset is a computer scientist at Zagazig University in Egypt whose books and papers apply metaheuristic optimization, machine learning and deep learning to IoT security, medicine and farming. A graduate of Zagazig's Faculty of Computers and Informatics, he co-authored the 2018 Elsevier chapter "Metaheuristic algorithms: A comprehensive review" with Laila Abdel-Fatah and Arun Kumar Sangaiah. Books followed: he co-edited Artificial Intelligence Techniques in IoT Sensor Networks in 2020 and Neutrosophic Operational Research with Florentin Smarandache in 2021, then wrote Deep Learning Approaches for Security Threats in IoT Environments in 2022, Metaheuristics Algorithms for Medical Applications in 2023 and Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things in Smart Farming in 2024. His bibliography passed 400 articles by 2024. He is Editor-in-Chief of Neutrosophic Sets and Systems alongside Smarandache.
