Konstantinos Sidiropoulos

Konstantinos Sidiropoulos is a biomedical engineer and AI researcher whose work connects medical imaging with bioinformatics software. Born in Kozani, Greece, in 1980, he earned a Diploma in Biomedical Engineering from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens and completed a Brunel PhD in medical image analysis and machine learning in 2014. At EMBL-EBI, he contributed to Reactome's graph database, which improved query efficiency; at AstraZeneca, he is a Senior AI Engineer from 2021 and an Associate Principal AI Engineer as of October 2026. In 2023, he presented a scalable, serverless pipeline for ingesting medical and digital pathology images to support research.
