Georgia Chalvatzaki
Georgia Chalvatzaki is a robotics researcher whose work spans machine learning, robot planning, and assistive robotics. She completed Ph.D. studies at the National Technical University of Athens in 2019 and joined TU Darmstadt's Intelligent Autonomous Systems group as a postdoctoral researcher in October 2019. In 2021, she began leading iROSA and was named AI Newcomer of the Year and RSS Pioneer of the Year. She coauthored a 2023 paper on grounding GPT-2 for robot task planning, received an ERC Starting Grant for SIREN in 2024, and won the Alfried Krupp Prize in 2025. As of October 2026, she is Vice President of the German Robotics Society, a Full Professor at TU Darmstadt, leads PEARL, and serves as Program Chair for CoRL 2026.
