Bin Liang
Also known as 梁斌
Bin Liang is a Tsinghua automation professor whose work spans intelligent robotics, space systems, and deep reinforcement learning. He completed combined bachelor's and master's study at Northwestern Polytechnical University and a doctorate at Tsinghua, then worked in space research and satellite communications before joining Tsinghua in 2007. He led the design and engineering command of China's first major space-robotics project and coauthored a method for mitigating catastrophic interference in reinforcement learning. He received the 2024 Qian Xuesen Outstanding Contribution Award and, as of October 2026, directs Tsinghua's Institute of Navigation and Control.
