Baobao Chang

Also known as 常宝宝

Baobao Chang is an associate professor at Peking University whose work spans computational linguistics, Chinese language resources, parsing, and natural language processing. He earned a B.Sc. from Shanxi University in 1992 and a Ph.D. from Peking University in 1999. His work on the Comprehensive Language Knowledge Base earns a Ministry of Education prize in 2007 and China's Second Class National Scientific & Technical Progress Prize in 2011. In 2025, he coauthored Math-Minos, a verifier that uses step-wise natural-language feedback to check mathematical solutions. In July 2026, he coauthored FaithLens, which detects and explains faithfulness hallucinations; as of October 2026, he is vice director of Peking University's Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Computational Linguistics.
