Andrzej Skowron
Andrzej Skowron is a computer scientist whose research covers rough sets, granular computing, machine learning, and intelligent systems. At the University of Warsaw, he rose from assistant to full professor; he also held a professorship at the Polish-Japanese Institute and led the International Rough Set Society. He worked with Linköping University's WITAS project on autonomous systems and became a EurAI Fellow in 2012. He coauthored Rough Sets: Past, Present, and Future in 2018 and a 2025 paper on rough-set reasoning in intelligent systems; he joined Academia Europaea in 2023. Since 2015, he has been a full professor at the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences and serves on its 2023–2026 Scientific Council.
