Alexandre Passos

Also known as Alexandre Tachard Passos, Alex Tachard Passos, Re Passos

Alexandre Passos is a machine-learning researcher whose early work began with a research scholarship at Genos in 2007–2008. He coauthored scikit-learn, developed work on multitask learning and named-entity resolution, and worked on TensorFlow Eager at Google. In 2022, he coauthored a report on T5X and SeqIO for large-language-model training and evaluation. In 2024, he was an author of the OpenAI o1 System Card. He joined Periodic Labs in 2025; as of October 2026, he is part of its founding team.
