A. R. D. Prasad

Prasad is a library and information science researcher whose doctoral work applied natural language processing to subject indexing. He joined DRTC as a lecturer in 1990 and wrote a chapter on artificial intelligence for library work in 1993. He announced a DRTC digital library in 2003 and served as an associate professor at ISI in 2010. By 2025, his work included digital libraries for IITs, NITs, CSIR and DRDO, the DSpace-Koha LiveDVD, and projects in semantic web and research data management. As of October 2026, he is a former DRTC professor and is scheduled to present an invited talk on an AI-enabled national research discovery platform at IIT Delhi.
