Researcher

Robertas Damaševičius

Robertas Damaševičius is a computer scientist whose AI research spans biometrics, disease forecasting, and medical imaging. He earned a PhD in informatics engineering from Kaunas University of Technology in 2005. His work includes EEG biometric authentication, a neural-network predictor of COVID-19 spread, and deep-learning systems for brain-tumor classification and skin-lesion segmentation. He gave a FedCSIS keynote on AI-driven brain cancer research in 2025. As of October 2026, he heads KTU’s Real-Time Computer Systems Centre, serves as a professor, and chairs the doctoral committee for informatics engineering.
