Fei Wang
Also known as F Wang, F. Wang
Fei Wang is a health informatics researcher who applies machine learning to biomedical data and medical care. He earned a B.E. at Xidian University in 2003 and a Ph.D. in machine learning at Tsinghua University in 2008, then joined Weill Cornell Medicine in 2016. His work spans disease prediction, subtyping, drug repurposing and clinical-trial emulation; he received the National Science Foundation’s Faculty Early Career Development Award in 2018 and coauthored papers on deep learning and interpretable AI in medicine. He joined the American College of Medical Informatics Fellows in 2022, became Cornell Tech’s Senior Faculty Fellow in Clinical AI in June 2025, and co-led Weill Cornell’s AI to Advance Medicine program and EmulatRx work in 2026. As of October 2026, he is a professor and associate dean for AI and data science at Weill Cornell Medicine.
