Dan Kokotov

Also known as Daniel Kokotov

Dan Kokotov is an AI engineering leader whose work spans speech recognition and climate data tools for AI assistants. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees at MIT in 2001 and worked on software for cancer research and infectious-disease tracking before joining Rev, where deep learning accelerated speech-to-text in 2016 and he was VP of Engineering for Speech Technologies by January 2021. In 2022, he described Rev's recognition system as joining years of human-transcription data with people and machines, and coauthored a paper on human-in-the-loop transcription. He wrote about CNaught's carbon reporting downloads in October 2024 and its MCP server for AI tools in July 2025; in November 2025, he discussed generative AI's productivity effects at an AI for Social Good symposium. As of October 2026, he is CNaught's CTO and co-founder.
