Christian Ristow
Christian Ristow is a robotic artist whose large interactive sculptures invite people to operate machines and consider artificial intelligence. He learned robot performance at Survival Research Laboratories, worked in film animatronics, and led Robochrist Industries. He built the glove-controlled Hand of Man and pedal-powered Fledgling, and made With Open Arms, a robot-god installation whose story examines AI and automation. As of October 2026, he is an artist active in Sweden, where his work brings figurative forms together with mechanical elements.
