Bhisham Sharma
Bhisham Sharma is a computer science researcher whose work connects AI with networked systems and language technology. He completed a Ph.D. in computer science and engineering at PEC University of Technology and coauthored a reliable wireless-sensor protocol in 2015. His later papers addressed drone-network congestion in 2020, code-mixed social-media hate detection with a hierarchical LSTM in 2021, and rare-word problems in neural machine translation in 2022. Chitkara University included him among faculty recognized in the 2024 Stanford and Elsevier Top 2% report; he coordinated CUDC’s Computer Science and Applications track in 2025 and was named among the inventors of an AI-based UAV corrosion-detection system in 2026. As of October 2026, he is an Associate Professor (Research) at Chitkara University, where he has held an associate professorship since 2017.
