Amirhassan Monajemi
Amirhassan Monajemi is an AI researcher whose work spans machine vision, deep learning, and explainable depression detection. He earned computer-engineering degrees in Iran, completed a Bristol doctorate by 2005, began teaching AI in 2005, and served as a professor at the University of Isfahan before joining NUS. His work includes a 2021 network for single-image super-resolution, a 2025 paper on AI and video games, and ProtoDep, a neurosymbolic framework for depression detection. As of October 2026, he is a Senior Lecturer (Educator Track) at NUS Computing.
