Alok R. Chaturvedi

Alok Chaturvedi is a Purdue researcher whose work spans knowledge-based systems, defense simulations, and artificial intelligence. He led development of SEAS for Defense Department wargaming and served as technical lead for the Sentient World Simulation. He directed Purdue's Homeland Security Institute in 2006 and received the National Training and Simulation Association's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024. In 2025, he published The Dharma of AI, bringing Indian philosophical ideas to questions about AI and digital life. As of October 2026, he is a professor in Purdue's Daniels School of Business and director of ISEEK; his research applies quantum-inspired formalisms to complex adaptive systems.
