Ali Abdalla

Ali Abdalla is a builder whose work helps people share and use machine-learning systems. Gradio's founding team, which includes him, entered PearX's S19 cohort in 2019; he coauthored the 2019 paper about the open-source model-sharing tool. His research included neural methods for evaluating generated text in 2019 and 2020, and he coauthored Gradio-Lite, which runs Gradio apps in a browser, in 2023. As of October 2026, he is a founder of Shotwell AI, which builds data-quality tools for dexterous robotics.
