Wil Braithwaite
As of October 2026, Wil Braithwaite is a senior applied engineer at NVIDIA whose work connects visual effects pipelines with GPU computing and immersive graphics. He spent 15 years in visual effects at studios in London and Los Angeles, working from research and technical direction through compositing, CG supervision, and motion-capture supervision, then brought graphics hardware into VFX workflows at NVIDIA. In November 2013, he presented on multi-GPU programming at SIGGRAPH Asia and spoke about GPU use in VFX at CVMP; FxGuideTV published the CVMP talk in January 2014. At IBC in September 2014, he described virtual framing with real-time CGI on a live-action set; in 2020, he coauthored the NVIDIA post introducing NanoVDB for OpenVDB on GPUs. He contributed to NVIDIA Research’s immersive 3D exhibit at GTC 2025 and coauthored a 2026 radiance-field paper that reached 200+ FPS across 45 views on a light-field display.
