Jonghyun Kim

Jonghyun Kim is a senior research scientist at NVIDIA Research whose work applies AI to holographic and light-field displays. He earned a PhD in electrical and computer engineering from Seoul National University and joined NVIDIA Research in 2017. A glasses-form AR demo earned him SIGGRAPH's 2019 Best in Show Award in Emerging Technologies, and he coauthored neural-holography research at Stanford in 2021. His work includes time-multiplexed holography in 2022, Play4D and AI 3D Selfie in 2025, and G2LF's real-time rendering for light-field displays in 2026. As of October 2026, he works on near-eye AR/VR, light-field and holographic displays at NVIDIA Research.
