    PhD at Saarland University

With a German Research Foundation scholarship, she works on her PhD within the German International Research College on Language Technology and Cognitive Systems at Saarland University. In 2006, she coauthors a workshop paper on contextual phenomena and thematic relations in database QA dialogues with Hans Uszkoreit, Anette Frank, Hans-Ulrich Krieger and Brigitte Jörg, and in 2007 she defends her thesis on discourse and semantic processing.

  3. 2008

    Hybrid grammar and style checking

In 2008, she coauthors Hybrid Processing for Grammar and Style Checking at COLING in Manchester with Berthold Crysmann, Peter Adolphs, Daniel Flickinger and Tina Klüwer.

  4. 2013

    Universal dependencies at ACL 2013

She is one of thirteen authors of Universal Dependency Annotation for Multilingual Parsing, which appears in 2013 in the proceedings of the 51st Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics in Sofia. Ryan McDonald, Joakim Nivre, Slav Petrov and Yoav Goldberg are among her coauthors.

  5. 2013

    Industry at Searchmetrics and parlamind

After her PhD, she continues her research, especially on dialogue systems, at the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and the Centre of General Linguistics (ZAS). In 2013, she moves into industry to bring NLP out of the labs and into products, working for companies such as Searchmetrics and parlamind.

  6. 2017

    Implicit opinion word lists
