Imran Ahmad
Imran Ahmad is a data scientist whose work spans cloud resource allocation, real-time analytics and AI agent engineering. He completed a 2010 PhD on a linear-programming method for cloud resource assignment and developed StreamSensing in 2017. His 2018 paper studied live-stream sentiment classification, and his books include *40 Algorithms Every Programmer Should Know* (2020) and the 2023 second edition of *50 Algorithms Every Programmer Should Know*. In March 2023, he worked as a data scientist at the Canadian Federal Government’s A2SC; in 2025 he coauthored *Architecting AI Software Systems* and led government machine-learning projects while teaching at Carleton, then published *30 Agents Every AI Engineer Must Build* in March 2026. As of October 2026, he is a data scientist and president of Cloudanum.
