Guy Wolf
Guy Wolf is an AI researcher whose work includes tools for visualizing complex biomedical data. He holds a PhD in computer science from Tel Aviv University, worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Paris, and held research and teaching appointments at Yale before arriving in Montréal in 2018. He coauthored PHATE and received a Canada CIFAR AI Chair and the MLSP Best Paper Award in 2021; Multiscale PHATE analyzed cell data from 54 million cells across 168 hospitalized COVID-19 patients. As of October 2026, he is a Full Professor at Université de Montréal and a Core Academic Member at Mila, and serves as Associate Director for AI and Data Science at CRCHUM and Chief Scientist for AI in the CHUM Research and Innovation Directorate.
