Fan Zhou

Fan Zhou is a computer science researcher whose work spans language-model training data, test-time scaling, and Qwen models. He completed computer science degrees at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and held research positions at Microsoft and the University of Hong Kong. He coauthored ProX, a framework that uses small language models to refine pretraining data, and a paper on test-time scaling and cognition engineering. In 2025, he coauthored the Qwen3 and Qwen3-Omni technical reports; in 2026, he coauthored a Qwen3-Coder-Next report. Since April 2025, he is a computer science PhD student at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, advised by Pengfei Liu.
