Erik J. Larson is a computer scientist and writer whose work connects knowledge-based AI, natural language processing, and questions about machine reasoning. He joined Cycorp in 2000, founded a company to classify web text, and helped design an influence-ranking algorithm based on Wikipedia data. In 2021, he published The Myth of Artificial Intelligence, which examines data-driven AI and human reasoning shaped by context and conjecture.
