Carlo Arcelli
Carlo Arcelli's work linked digital geometry and mathematical morphology with image analysis. He coauthored a width-independent thinning paper with Gabriella Sanniti di Baja in 1985 and a corner-finding paper with Andreas Held and Keiichi Abe in 1990. He received an IAPR Fellowship in 1996 and served on the ACCV'98 program committee. His work also included a 2014 paper on decomposing 3D objects into parts characterized by rectilinear spines.
