Calum Chace

Calum Chace is an AI writer and speaker whose books examine superintelligence and how automation could reshape work. He studied philosophy at Oxford and worked in journalism, marketing, and business before focusing on writing and speaking in 2012, after a 30-year business career. He published Surviving AI in 2015 and The Economic Singularity in 2016, and co-founded the Economic Singularity Foundation in 2017. His 2018 book, Artificial Intelligence and the Two Singularities, explores automation's effects on employment and the prospect of machine intelligence surpassing human cognition. As of October 2026, he is a co-founder of Conscium and co-hosts the London Futurists Podcast.
