Bo Zhu
Bo Zhu is a Georgia Tech associate professor who develops numerical methods and generative models for physical systems. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a computer science Ph.D. at Stanford in 2015, then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at MIT CSAIL and spent five years as a Dartmouth assistant professor before joining Georgia Tech in 2023. His 2022 NSF CAREER Award and CISE grant supported fluid simulation research, and his 2023 Neural Flow Maps paper won the SIGGRAPH Asia Best Paper Award. He coauthored a 2024 particle-flow-map method for accurate long-range fluid simulation; his research spans computer graphics, computational physics, computational design, scientific machine learning and generative AI.
