Bilal Bahaa Zaidan

Also known as Bilal Bahaa Zaidan Al-Jubouri

Bilal Bahaa Zaidan is an AI researcher whose work spans decision systems, machine learning and applied AI. He grew up in Baghdad and studied mathematics and computer applications there, then completed graduate degrees in computer science and computer engineering in Malaysia by 2016. In 2014, his anti-pornography classifier using neural and Bayesian methods earned an ITEX Gold Medal, and he served as a senior lecturer at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris before joining the AI faculty at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology. His 2022 research applied deep learning to driver behavior profiling. Since January 2024, he is a tenure-track associate professor in data science at SP Jain Sydney; his 2025 projects explored AI crop monitoring, emergency and ICU triage, and primary-school tutoring.
