Baoquan Chen
Also known as 陈宝权
Baoquan Chen is a computer graphics professor whose point-cloud learning and 3D scene segmentation connect visual computing with AI. He earned degrees in electronic engineering and computer science, held research and faculty posts in Beijing, New York, and Minnesota, and directed the Visual Computing Research Center in Shenzhen. At Shandong University, he was dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology and the School of Software and founding director of the Interdisciplinary Research Center. His PointCNN framework learns from unordered point clouds, and SAI3D applies zero-shot segmentation to 3D scenes; he was named to ACM's 2025 Fellow class. As of October 2026, he is a professor and associate dean at Peking University's School of Artificial Intelligence.
