Pouya Jafari

Pouya Jafari is a computer science researcher whose interests include time series modeling, diffusion models and AI for science. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from Iran University of Science and Technology and studies for a Master's degree in Computer Science at RPTU. In 2025, he coauthored the chapter "Linear local embedding" and, in October 2025, joined 15 other authors on DiffStyleTS, which introduced DiffTSST, a diffusion-based framework for time series style transfer. The 2026 paper "Style Transfer for High-Fidelity Time Series Augmentation" also counts him among its coauthors. He is a research assistant in the Data Science and its Applications group at DFKI, where he works on scientific document analysis.

    In October 2025, he is one of 16 authors of the arXiv preprint DiffStyleTS, with RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau as his affiliation. The paper introduces DiffTSST, a diffusion-based framework that splits a time series into content and style representations and recombines them, and shows that data augmentation with it improves anomaly detection when data is scarce.
