Darko Obradovic

Darko Obradovic is a computer scientist whose work spans social network analysis and AI for documents. He studied computer science at TU Kaiserslautern, researched social media at DFKI, and completed a PhD in network and text mining. His work includes COSAIR, an AI education platform for computer strategy games, and a blog-monitoring method that earned ASONAM's 2010 First Best Paper Award. At Insiders Technologies, he led AI work on document analysis and conversational AI for finance and industry; in 2024, he coauthored LAPDoc on layout-aware prompts for document tasks. As of October 2026, he is a manager and senior researcher at DFKI working on multimodal document understanding, RAG and agentic AI.
