Valérie Pisano

Valérie Pisano is an AI lab leader and Mila’s president and CEO, a role she has held since 2018. She holds a bachelor's degree in administration, finance and economics and a master's degree in applied economics from HEC Montréal, and she worked at McKinsey from 2005 to 2014. She co-founded the Mobius Bias Project in 2014 and served as Chief Talent Officer at Cirque du Soleil from 2016 to 2018. In July 2023, she discussed AI regulation in an interview; LawZero appointed her to its board in January 2026, and Mila and Inria announced a four-year research agreement in October 2026 covering agentic AI, evaluation and safety.
