Uljan Sharka

Uljan Sharka is the founder and CEO of Domyn, a sovereign AI company for regulated industries. He was born in Albania and moved to Italy in 2008 to study computer science. He worked at Apple in Silicon Valley from 2012 to 2015 and founded iGenius in 2016. The company launched Italia, an open-source language model, in June 2024, and it became Domyn in June 2025. In June 2026 the European Commission picked the Domyn-led Europa consortium as the sole winner of its Frontier AI Grand Challenge, and TIME named him to its 2026 TIME100 AI list.
