Scott Reed is a machine-learning researcher whose work spans text-to-image generation and interactive environments. He completes a PhD at the University of Michigan under Honglak Lee in 2016, and his papers include Deep visual analogy-making and Generative Adversarial Text to Image Synthesis. In 2024 a Google DeepMind team publishes Genie: Generative Interactive Environments, which ICML names a Best Paper. In 2025 the CVPR Longuet-Higgins Prize goes to Going Deeper with Convolutions, a CVPR 2015 paper with Reed among its authors. As of October 2026, he is building something new after his work at NVIDIA.
